Fear – The reason why it’s been so difficult to overcome: We’ve had it all backwards

Integration & Attraction, Self No Comments »

As we’re born and come into this world, we are born without fears. We know we are loved, we know we are powerful… until we are taught otherwise.

Our Deepest Fear:

When we’re afraid of something, what do we normally do? We seek to not look at it, to hide from it, to keep it in darkness. We’ve been taught to somehow think it is the darkness we fear, but that’s what we run to. What we really fear is the light.

What happens when any fear is examined in the light? It ultimately dissolves and we discover the belief behind it was not true. For example a fear of powerlessness, once looked at in the light of our full awareness… it is revealed that we are not powerless as we’d been led to believe, but that we are powerful. Yet the avoidance of discovering this is what fear has been about. Therefore in this example, the fear is not that we are powerless but that we are powerful. Because that is the truth that fear motivates us to avoid discovering.

In this example of being afraid that we are powerless… When we come into this world, we know we’re powerful. Yet we are taught that we our powerless. We adopt these beliefs from our parents and society, who also “teach” us this through experiences. Because we know in our core that this is untrue, it feels bad to believe it. We’re hiding from our true selves and looking at a lie and believing in that, going against the flow of our truth. Light and awareness is always the direction of the natural flow. Going against the flow like this requires stress and strain.

Then to lock us into this stressful avoidance, we are taught another lie that is designed to keep us unconscious of what we are doing, and that lie is that this first lie (that we are powerless) is what we fear, rather than the truth that we are powerful. That stress, that discomfort, that pain from the first lie, masked by the misdirection of the second lie designed to keep our consciousness off of what’s really going on, is the sensation we call fear.

When we can grasp that what we really fear is the opposite of what we’ve been taught to believe we fear… in other words when we see the truth behind the second lie, we unravel it and can now direct our attention toward the first lie (in this example that we our powerless), and recognize that what we’ve been fearing all along is how powerful we actually are.

Bashar on powerfulness: “The greatest power requires the lightest touch”

Why would we fear being powerful?
Well this exposure unravels the unconscious component of what we call fear. So the fear becomes transformed into something much clearer that we can now deal with directly. The component of fear that remains, at least in some common examples, is the idea of contraction, of pinching off. For example, if we fear our powerfulness, then what we need to do is face how powerful we are, and allow the light of our full awareness on it, allow the energy into ourselves, allow ourselves to receive the unconditional love of all that we are, move toward the experience of it.

Letting Yourself Be Loved:

This is something that makes great sense to me, I just had this insight a few minutes ago after watching the first video above. With this new revelation in mind, it seems to me that just about all fears can be quickly and fairly easily unraveled. I can feel it already with many of my fears. I look forward to experiencing this fully!

The Difference Between Out-Of-Alignment Emotion And Negative Emotion (you mean they’re not the same!?)

Integration & Attraction No Comments »

As I’m going through my awakening and healing processes, I am regaining my awareness of a distinction that typically goes unnoticed between out of alignment feelings and the negative/suffering experience of them. So I hope this can be of some assistance to others in gaining clarity about something that has eluded so many of us. By the way, this is a clarity we were born with and trained out of as small children.

Let’s say we’re going about our lives, and to use Abraham’s language, we see something that gives birth to a desire. To use a general example, let’s talk about abundance. If see a lack of abundance in my life, this gives birth to a desire for abundance. This is experienced in an intense feeling as I focus on it. If my beliefs are in alignment, I feel inspired, excited. But if my beliefs are out of alignment with this desire, I feel blocked, upset, lackful, frustrated, etc.

Let’s say I have a belief in my lack rather than in my abundance.

So as I focus on the abundance/lack stick (again, using Abraham’s language), my higher self or inner being, whatever you wish to call it, sends to your physical self, the energy of abundance. Yet that energy running through a belief that says I can’t have abundance, that I’m lackful, creates a stress, a vibrational discord, which we experience as perhaps frustration, anger, or some other similar type of feeling. This feeling in and of itself is not negative, it’s neutral but out of alignment. This feeling itself is not one of suffering, nor does it cause suffering. It is not negative, just a curious, out of alignment sensation.

What we do on top of that out of alignment feeling is we respond to it negatively. That is we resist it, we try to hide our awareness of it. We’ve been trained to believe that it can hurt us, and that it IS us. So we resist it, we hide from it, we distract ourselves from it, we try and change it, get rid of it, etc. THESE RESPONSES TO the anger, frustration, or whatever we’re feeling are what turns them into something negative. It is these negative responses on our part that causes our suffering. We have been trained to do this by what Bashar calls a habit, something we’re doing that we don’t know we’re doing. We’ve been trained to equivocate the out of alignment sensation with our negative response, so we perceive it unconsciously (by habit) as one thing, when they are two distinct things.

When we push our feelings away, we disconnect ourselves from them, and hence we hold ourselves away from our power to actually change them. This is how these so-called “negative” emotions perpetuation themselves.

The only thing that is needed to straighten out and align those out of alignment feelings is the light of our full awareness on them. As our higher self is sending the energy of abundance to us, then our awareness of those out of alignment beliefs (via our awareness on the feeling/sensation of that energy running through those out of alignment beliefs, experienced as anger or frustration or lack or whatever it is for us) in light of the pure positive energy of abundance, causes those out of alignment beliefs and feelings to pop into alignment, or to dissolve and become replaced with new in-alignment beliefs and feelings.

In other words:

1. Higher Self sends us energy of pure abundance.

2. That energy flows through a belief of lack which is out of alignment with that energy, which we experience as anger, frustration, lack, or whatever it is for us.

3. Per our early childhood conditioning, we resist those out of alignment feeling, we push it away, try to change it, invalidate it, beat ourselves up for it, say no to it, distract ourselves from it, etc. This is what causes us to suffer, not #2. And this is what keeps our awareness off of that out of alignment belief in light of the pure positive energy of abundance, and hence keeps it out of our reach to have any power concerning it… thus it perpetuates.

4. Because #3 causes #2 to perpetuate, the energy from #1 running through #2 manifests into #4, situations and circumstances that reflect lack rather than abundance. And in the observation of this negative manifestation, we continue, as Abraham says, giving birth to the desire for abundance which brings us back to #1, and the cycle repeats.

But if we can forego #3, and when we find ourselves in #2 or #4, just allow ourselves to experience that out of alignment sensation, and allow ourselves to be fully aware of it, it will in not much time at all, dissolve in the light of the pure positive energy being sent to us from our inner being.

I’m reminded of something Bashar said in Shattering Old Patterns about how when we’re very young children we are often made to feel something that’s out of alignment with who we are, and as we start to become angry or hurt and cry, we are then quickly told to shut up, be quiet, keep it inside. Made to feel and told we are not allowed to express that feeling. Made to feel, then told we can’t. Made to feel, then told we can’t. Feel it, don’t feel it. Feel it, don’t feel it. Feel it, don’t feel it. And it creates a self-perpetuating loop. (some of that is word for word from Bashar, some is not, I typed it from memory). That results in the equivocation most of us adults make.

Many people have heard from many spiritual teachers, including Abraham, that when something feels bad, distract yourself from it, avoid it, say no to it, and turn your attention onto something else that feels good. While it is wonderful to discover we have the freedom to shift our awareness onto something that feels good from something that feels bad, when used with vigilance in order to always avoid what feels bad, we trap it there and keep ourselves unconscious of our power and ability to heal that negative belief. All we have to do is, as Abraham says, let go of the oars. Stop resisting, even the out of alignment stuff. Once we do, the current of the stream from our inner being will realign those beliefs, if we ALLOW it to. All we have to do is go with the flow. So do not say no to your negative feelings, relax and allow them to be and watch them transform into positive feelings. Watch yourself become more conscious of how incredibly powerful you are whereas for so long it had felt powerless.

One thing also that tends to trap us into perpetuating negative feelings is identifying with them. I am angry rather than I am experiencing the sensation of energy running through me yet it is being blocked also. This is the essence of the experience that we call anger. Emotions and feelings are energy and sensations, they are not what or who we are. We are not our feelings. So we can allow those bad feelings, recognizing it’s just a sensation of energy that’s flowing in funky out of alignment ways. I’m not that feeling, I’m not bad. I’m not angry. It’s just a sensation, just an experience I am having, that’s all. Like the feeling of cold or warm liquid running down your throat after taking a sip of something. Do we say I’m hot or I’m cold? No, we say that liquid is warm, or that liquid is cold. It’s just sensation of energy.

Shift! From Manifestation Orientation To State of Being Orientation

Integration & Attraction, Self No Comments »

We’ve been conditioned to treat physical reality, conditionally, and to focus on the outward manifestations as if that were somehow “real”, and our own inner state of being were subjective, fleeting, unreal.

Something Bashar has said a number of times, this is a quote specifically from “Beyond The Secret Into Abundance“:

“Circumstances don’t matter. Only my state of being matters. What state of being do I prefer? …then choose… and as you choose, behave that way toward the circumstances.” – Bashar

I’ve come (and still am in some ways) to make a fundamental shift in my perspective of myself and of life, from outer being primary, to the inner being primary.

Instead of focusing on manifestations, circumstances, etc, and trying to figure ourselves out in order to manifest what we want… Focus on state of being instead.

Many times to manifest something, we believe we must first manifest something else as a condition, for example in order to travel the world, I must first manifest the money to do that with. This is the old way. It is conditional and fundamentally does not work. And it’s trusting in the manifestations themselves rather than in yourself.

Rather than focusing how trying get figure out and manipulate reality or ourselves to manifest something, just choose the state of being you prefer to experience, and be that state of being. If the idea of an outer manifestation inspires such an exciting state of being, then use that image to get in touch with the state of being, and then shift your awareness from that image of manifestation to the state of being it means to you.

Choosing to experience a state of being requires no manifestations as conditions. Just choose it and create it within yourself, letting go of any manifestations or circumstances or situations that are associated with it, and just focus on the state of being itself. Choose to create it within yourself and create it. No conditions are required.

“Circumstances don’t matter. Only my state of being matters. What state of being do I prefer? …then choose.” – Bashar

Once we choose our state of being, then channel that state of being through whatever it is we are facing or doing. Or as Bashar has put it, “…and as you choose, behave that way toward the circumstances.”

1. Get clear on the state of being we prefer to experience, and focus on it, create it within ourselves.

2. Channel that state of being into and through whatever circumstances, situations, or actions we are doing in physical reality. Express that state of being through whatever we do.

3. Manifestations are merely reflections, nothing more, they are never the goal. Beware of conditionality. Allow whatever manifestations that show up to show up, and let them be okay, and use them as the reflections they are to become aware of more aspects of your state of being and who you are.

If from a situation you encounter, you find yourself reacting to it negatively, then use that situation to put you in touch with that negative state of being, and let go of the situation. That is shifting your awareness from the mere reflection (the situation) to your state of being that the situation put you in touch with. And deal with the state of being, rather than with the situation (which again is only a reflection of that state of being). By the way, even though it seemed as though you were reacting TO the situation with the negative state of being, the reality is we exist outside of time, and you chose that negative state of being, and channeled that into reality through a situation which your mind was conditioned to react to. The reason you chose that state of being was to create for yourself the experience of your truth, of which those negative beliefs are lying to you about.

In other words, if you choose to feel powerless through manifesting a situation that your beliefs have your mind conditioned to react to with a sense of powerlessness, then your higher mind was sending you the energy of your power, and if you allow the (negative) experience to happen through your beliefs of powerlessness, you’ll find yourself on the other side with an experience of your power, and the false belief that said you were powerless will align itself to the energy of flowing WITH, not against, the energy that you are powerful. In other words, the false belief in your powerlessness will dissolve and be replaced with one in alignment of your truth, that you are powerful. And this was the intention of the higher mind, this was the energy it was sending you.

For example, the classic recurring nightmare of being chased by a boogie man. The way to end the nightmare is to ALLOW the boogie man to get you. Don’t run from him, don’t fight him. Don’t resist him in any way. Allow. And once he gets you, well in my experience he stopped right in front of me and we started talking and it turned out to be a pretty nice, friendly guy. When we allow the experience to run its course, without fighting or resisting it, we then experience the truth that the experience SEEMED earlier to be lying about. We can do this in manifested physical reality, as I did with that boogie man in my childhood nightmares. But we can also do it within, with our state of being. We need not wait for a manifestation. If we can allow that negative state of being instead of trying to avoid or change it or get rid of it, we allow it to be there, we allow ourselves to experience it, without resisting it, we allow it to be okay, and we validate it… it will transform and dissolve into something in alignment with who we are. In this case if we do it before it manifests, then no manifestation is necessary for us to realign our beliefs.

Our ability to do this is another reflection of the freedom we have to deal with whatever is in physical reality that we don’t prefer, within ourselves, rather than “out there”. So in this way we can simply choose to not run energy through our negative beliefs (by projecting them into the situation in physical reality), and thus it makes it easier and quicker to change ourselves within.

To use an analogy, it’s easier to learn to fly, independent of gravity, when we shift our focus from doing “the impossible” out there in physical reality to the state of being that that “impossible” situation (and our desire to do it) puts us in touch with, and dealing with our own state of being.

As we change within, the reflection in the mirror of physical reality must also change. Dealing without by dealing within. Except that within is all that really matters to us when we really examine it.

So again:

1. Decide which state of being to experience and create it.

2. Channel/Express that state of being into and through whatever you are doing in physical reality.

3. Allow whatever reflections that show up as manifestations to be, let them be okay, and if any puts us in touch with a state of being we were previously unaware of or one we do not prefer, shift our awareness from the manifestation to just the state of being itself, and allow, allow, allow, it to run its course, and this will add to our ability and clarity and freedom and natural openness of doing #1.

How I’ve Discovered To Heal Myself of Life-Long Limiting Beliefs

Self 2 Comments »

I’ve been doing lots of healing recently, and what I’ve been healing myself of has been accelerating as a big transition in my life approaches. I’m making some amazing discoveries (from hindsight) of how to heal old (life-long) limiting beliefs. This is a bit different than anything I’ve directly heard from Bashar or anyone else, although I do believe Bashar would agree with it, he has spoken about it, but from a different (yet same in a way) perspective than the one I have discovered for me that I will now share.

Of course, any negative feeling you have is from a negative misaligned belief you have about yourself. This is nothing new.

But recognize that your beliefs create your reality, thus what you believe IS ACTUALLY REAL in the reality in which you create/inhabit. And your feelings are always accurate indicators of the reality you are in. So if you have a belief that you are powerless, and someone does something to you that makes you feel powerless, the reality you are in is that you really are powerless. Your feelings of being powerless are accurate indicators of the reality you are in.

Therefore instead of saying with your mind, ‘oh, well that’s just a belief, it isn’t true’, admit and face that yes it IS TRUE. To use the mind to say it isn’t true is to short-circuit the process and to deny what you really actually do believe inside. So face your belief.

By the way, there is nothing about resigning that things will be this way in your future, this says nothing about future. Future is just an illusion. All that is real is here and now. This is about the present moment only, without thought, one way or another, about the future.

So in this example of a belief/feeling of being powerless, face that you really are powerless, your feelings are accurate, you really are powerless. Face it. Accept it. Relax about it. Don’t resist it or try to change it or try to overcome it. Just let it be okay that you are powerless. Let go of any resistance you feel to being powerless, and relax. Recognize that as you feel powerless, you are still a good, loved, worthy person (unless that’s the belief you’re working on). Validate yourself for being powerless. Being powerless doesn’t make you a bad, inadequate or unworthy person. You’re powerless, and it’s okay :)

“You cannot change what you do not own.” – Bashar

As you face and accept the reality of being powerless and you let go of your resistance to it and let go of your invalidation of it, there will be a point where you will happen to notice a shift, a perspective. Suddenly you’ll perceive with conscious awareness (not mind) of your power. And you’ll recognize wait a minute, my being powerless was just a belief, it wasn’t real. And this happens because it is no longer your belief, you have moved beyond it. As Bashar says about a habit, “you have to be beyond it to know you have it. And once you know you have it, you don’t have it anymore.”

For some beliefs I’ve transcended this way, some negative energy still comes up, at times, around the issue, but now it feels like there’s no belief to reinforce the loop of self-perpetuation. So I can just let the energy come, accept it, and allow it to go in the same way…and so dissipate without being regenerated.

The most wonderful thing though is that after a belief is transcended, you feel so much lighter, so much freer, more powerful, and more at peace, more relaxed.

When The Energy of YES looks like NO

Love, Self No Comments »

Remember the movie “Yes Man”?

“Say Yes To LIFE!” otherwise “You’re dead… You say no to life and therefore you’re not living.” – Terrence Bundley

(here’s the trailer)
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1068082855313

Sometimes yes looks like no.

When someone else wants you to say yes to them, if doing so would mean saying no to yourself and they still want you to say yes to them, then saying yes to them is actually of energy of saying no to yourself, of going against who you are.

The energy of yes would say no to them and not do what they want, not because you are of the energy of saying no to them (you’re aren’t), but because you are of the energy of saying yes to yourself.

Without the energy of YES to yourself, you cannot be of the energy of saying YES to anyone else.

Trust in yourself and who you are above anyone or anything else outside of you.
